Rising star, actor and comedian Alphonso McAuley originally born in New Haven, Connecticut, moved to Los Angeles with his parents as a child. He found his interest in Theater and film, when he joined an improvisational workshop that was part of a school program. His passion for acting led him to Hollywood where he began building a quality Stand-Up Comedy career. McAuley’s outgoing personality and stage presence helped him land over forty national commercials and soon casting directors began requesting him for major commercial campaigns for McDonalds, Sprite, and Best Buy. Having established a career in the commercial world, McAuley eagerly pursued film work and his breakthrough film debut was in 2004 where he entertained us as ‘Bucky’, in the hit comedy “FAT ALBERT”.
Alphonso will soon shine on the big screen when he co-stars alongside Wilmer Valderama (That 70’s Show, Yo Mama) in the upcoming film “ROADKILL”. The film is based on two amateur private detectives who discover what could be a government conspiracy when they agree to protect an escort being pursued by an assassin. McAuley starred as a series regular in the 2008 Comedy Central Series, “CHOCOLATE NEWS” with David Alan Grier and the 2007 drama, “PRIDE” with Terrance Howard and Bernie Mac. He also starred in the 2006 basketball drama, “GLORY ROAD” where he gave an impressive performance as ‘Orson Artis’ one of the principal players on the team.
Alphonso McAuley is a graduate of California State University Fullerton with a degree in Communications (Radio/TV/Film) and Afro-Ethnic Studies.
