Anna Faris booking
Anna started acting very young but, of course, not professionally. She loved watching plays and eventually produced her own with all the neighborhood children. She was always encouraged with the emphasis that she wasn’t just “pretending” but rather being an unpaid producer, director, writer and actor.
Her first paid job was at the Seattle Repretory theatre at age nine. She loved it and did other local plays and readings. After graduating from the University of Washington in English Literature, she decided to leave for London to work and write, but after filming (the less than wonderful) Lovers Lane (2000) and a short for the Seattle Film Festival, she decided to give Los Angeles a try.
Anna Faris made a name for herself in broad comedies, starting with the horror spoof-within-a-spoof “Scary Movie,” itself a send-up of other horror parodies like “Scream” and “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” Faris made an immediate impact, which led to several sequels atop other studio comedies like “The Hot Chick”, though she wisely began to break away, following a surprisingly memorable turn in the acclaimed indie “Lost in Translation.” Her small, but potently comedic performance as a ditzy actress opened the doors to other more varied projects, including the romantic comedy “Just Friends” and the Oscar-winning drama, “Brokeback Mountain.” But broad comedy remained her bread and butter. By the time she starred opposite Seth Rogen in the raunchy “Observe and Report,” Faris had established herself as the go-to actress for Hollywood comedies.
In 2008, she produced and starred in “The House Bunny,” about a retired Playboy bunny. She voiced Sam Sparks in the 2009 animated film “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs,” the computer-animated chipmunk Jeanette Miller in the live-action “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel” and “Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked.” In 2011, she starred in and served as executive producer of the 2011 romantic comedy “What’s Your Number?” alongside Chris Evans. In 2012, she starred alongside Sacha Baron Cohen in the “The Dictator.” She appeared in the comedy film “Movie 43″ in the segment “The Proposition” alongside her husband Chris Pratt. She then appeared in “I Give It a Year” and reprises her role as Sam Sparks in the sequel” Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2.”
She is the main role in the sitcom series “Mom” as Christy.
