“Lauren Ogilvie Bosworth” (born September 29, 1986), often referred to simply as “Lo”, is an American
television personality best known for her appearances on MTV reality series “Laguna Beach: The Real
Orange County” and its spin-off ,”The Hills”, which follows best friend Lauren Conrad’s personal and
professional life as she pursues a career in the fashion industry.
Bosworth was born in Laguna Beach, California, on September 29, 1986, to Richard and Ellen
Bosworth (née Ogilvie). She has an older sister, Erin (born 1983) and a younger brother, Christian
(born 1990). Erin Bosworth is now a teacher at a local middle school in Manhattan Beach teaching
English. Bosworth was raised in the Three Arch Bay section of Laguna Beach, and is a graduate of
UCLA, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.
Bosworth first appeared alongside best friend Lauren Conrad and former classmates, Stephen Coletti
and Kristin Cavallari, on an MTV reality program called “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County”.
She and her friends had their lives filmed during their senior year of high school and the following
summer prior to college. When Conrad left “Laguna” for “The Hills”, she and Bosworth stayed close
friends and was later added to the cast. Bosworth appeared to show slightly more of her personal life
in season 5 of The Hills, allowing the cameras into her work-place. She is billed as a ‘returning castmember’ for season 6, despite Lauren Conrad’s departure, possibly suggesting an increase in air-time.
Bosworth is a spokesperson for the combined oral contraceptive pill Yaz in Canada.
